David  performing at Milton Keynes Bowl in July 1983 on his Serious Moonlight tour. This image was taken at the opening of 'Let's Dance' in front of an audience of 65,000 - one of three consecutive shows at the venue out of a total 99 concerts on the record breaking  Serious Moonlight tour. Denis: "Many shows take place after dusk so that the effects of the lighting and screens can be best appreciated. However England is quite far north, so sunset in early Summer takes place further into the show. The natural bowl at Milton Keynes created a sea of people and I climbed the gantry to the side of the stage to secure a vantage point during daylight that would show David with as many fans as possible".
