David Bowie Kempinski Hotel Berlin, 1983
Denis: "Photographer Helmut Newton arranged to shoot David in his room at the Kempinski Hotel in Berlin for a Vanity Fair feature. David agreed to the session on condition that I photographed it too. So not only did I get this picture (set up by Helmut) but I also documented the two legends at work. A whole contact sheet of the session features in one of the books in my Ricochet boxed set".
