Charlie Watts, Nice, 1982
Denis: "Hanging around hotel lobbies is a familiar business for bands on tour, as they wait either for the tour bus, vans, limousines, or as in this case the bus to Nice airport and the Rolling Stones' private Boeing 707. I had breakfast with Charlie Watts and his family as we waited for Keith and Ronnie to make their way - from the legendary Negresco hotel further along the Promenade des Anglais - to the band hotel. This is an informal shot taken at the breakfast table, which graced the album cover of the Charlie Watts Orchestra 1986 'Live at Fulham Town Hall' album cover! Future David Bowie bass player and 'Under pressure' singer Gail Ann Dorsey also sang on the BBC broadcast."
