Denis: "There is very little time available on tour for photography, other than documenting the tour itself, so this session - in Palm Desert California - was a breath of fresh air. David had been offered a headline slot at the US Festival, organised by Apple founders Steve Jobs & Steve Wosniak, which meant flying the tour from Nice in the south of France to San Diego in California and back again between shows. David took this opportunity to secure some photographs with Earl Slick to promote the upcoming US tour. It was a tiring few days, but at least when we boarded the plane to head back to London, David had brought a sushi bar and chef on board as a pre-flight treat"
